In our search for boars last fall, we were determined to find “the white one” at the same time we also wanted to make sure we had an Absolute son. We never dreamed we would find both of those in the same package. Ricky Bobby was our $30,000 purchase at Perfect timing and comes from the infamous End Game sow at JD’s also known as “Change The Games” mom. Change the Game sired the Grand at Tulsa, Arkansas State Fair, and several class winners at OYE, SA, and Houston in his first crop. Ricky Bobby’s mom came from a great litter including a littermate brother who was Reserve Champion York Barrow at OYE. The Guns Up grandma came from a dominating litter of of solid whites that gathered over 30 champion or reserve banners that winter. Ricky Bobby himself came from a litter that dreams are made of, including 2 mates bringing over $10k and another bringing $6500. 3 of those mates have got their picture taken at the backdrop so far this winter. We like to remain humble in these boar introductions but simply put, I don’t think there is another white one on the planet that offers the extras in a show barrow package that Ricky does. He’s one of the most unique white ones to surface in some time. We love this one so much he will get a chance on belted sows as well. Worth mentioning in the 2024 showpig era is the amount of hair Ricky B has. I can truly say in over 20 years of doing this, I’ve never seen an animal with more leg hair, and just hair in general as what he has. Hence the name Ricky Bobby, “I’m just a big hairy American winning machine.”
