We feel it an honor that we were able to purchase Outlast. What we thought was lost is now rejuvenated! He completes a story line, brings things full circle, and preserves a bit of Hampshire history that we lost in 2019, and that was his sire, Outlaw. We purchased Outlaw in 2014, from the Harvey family, knowing that he was the soundest structured, best built Hampshire that we’ve seen and knew he would make an impact. Though we were hopeful at that time we had no clue just what was in store. In his very first Hampshire crop, Outlaw, sired the $90,000 Champion Hampshire Boar at 2015 World Pork Expo named All Eyes. All Eyes then goes onto to sire the $80,000 Hampshire Boar at the 2017 WPX named World Class (who sits here at Goldrush) who has been named Hampshire Boar of the year TWO years in a row. World Class turns around and sires the $80,000 Champion Hampshire Boar at the 2018 NSR STC named Shock the World (who sits here at Goldrush). Those are just the headliners though. And just to save time from listing all the Champions, just know that Outlaw has sired Champions at every National Show, and even more Regional, State, County, Local, and Jackpot shows to count. Not to mention how many times he was on the bottom side of the winning pedigree as well. Here’s where things get truly INCREDIBLE, the VERY LAST collection that Outlaw produced, settled a sow down in Georgia. That unique mating created the Champion Hampshire Boar at the 2020 NSR WTC, named OUTLAST! Outlaw started off with a bang and continued his success to literally the very last days of his life. We genuinely believe that Outlast is a Genetic Goldmine and Phenotypic Master Piece! He would be at Gold Rush regardless of his pedigree, but that sure helps build confidence in what he is going to do! Outlast has the same structural integrity and correctness at the ground as Outlaw, yet he is bigger boned, and offers more spread of muscle down his back with more expressive hip shape than his daddy. This is not just a cool story on a Champion Boar, Outlast is the real deal! Your best sows deserve to see him.
